# BeSound — Full Reference

> BeSound provides modern, radiation-free breast imaging using ultrasound to help find cancers that mammograms can miss, especially in dense breast tissue. BeSound (BLOCH Quantum Imaging Solutions, Inc. d/b/a BeSound) is a technology platform that connects individuals with independent partner medical groups; it does not itself provide medical care.

## What BeSound is
Radiation-free breast ultrasound screening as a supplement to mammography. The standard appointment is a screening breast ultrasound (ABUS). When ordered by the interpreting physician, an opto-acoustic (OA) diagnostic scan may follow. Imaging is performed by trained, all-female sonographers and interpreted by board-certified physicians engaged by partner medical groups.

## Who it's for
Adults seeking supplemental breast imaging, particularly women with dense breast tissue who have had normal or benign mammography results. Supplemental screening is not a replacement for mammography; the American Cancer Society recommends average-risk women begin regular mammograms at age 40.
